When Illusion Holds Power Over You

Illusion holds power over you when you are not able to remember that you are a powerful spirit that has taken on the physical experience for the purpose of learning.

It has power over you when you are compelled by wants and impulses and values of your personality.

I spent yesterday with a wonderful friend whom I hadn't seen for awhile. I was truly grateful to see her and looked forward to having a 'girl's day out' and catching up. She has been at a low ebb in recent months, so it was really great to get her out and into a positive frame of mind for a least a few hours. But Alas! As we greeted each other she started with a complaint about the weather! This continued, she complained incessantly, I had to tell her that she needed to change her way of thinking! Perhaps, this was the reason for her attracting 'negative' situations in her life. I warned her I would be blogging about this today.....

This made me think, and I asked myself this; how many of us begin our conversations with a complaint or complaints? How many of us surround ourselves with people who do? According to the 'Universal Law of Attraction' simplest definition is 'like attracts like.' The more you complain, the more likely you will attract unpleasant experiences. People who complain all the time are always willing to point out the problems, but never willing to be a part of the solution.

Do you find yourself complaining? If you do then make an effort to stop this habit, try to be positive, try to be grateful, start with the little things. Start by saying things that will make others feel good , they will enjoy being around you , and soon you will begin to feel good too. Once you choose joy and gratitude, you will be astonished as to how uncomplicated and happy your life will become! The more grateful you are, the more positive experiences you will have! Live each moment completely. Fully enjoy the beauty of each moment...

Making others happy, through kindness of speech and sincerity of right advice, is a sign of true greatness. To hurt another soul by sarcastic words, looks, or suggestions, is despicable. On my journey of faith I have truly learnt this-----The Power of Prayer-----during my times of despair, anguish, disappointment, lack of hope, little faith and also during my times of joy, success and accomplishment; it mattered not where I might have been or might be; whether at the office, in the supermarket or simply taking a walk. I always found the time to pray, to thank God for His Goodness, and with great fervor. What mattered  most was what was in my heart.

As Matthew 8:13 reads:

Then Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way, and as you have believed, so let it be done for you."

And his servant was healed that same hour.

Which means if you pray little you will receive little. If you learn to pray, your faith will allow God to do big things in your life. Make the decision to take a step of faith towards the dreams in your heart. God will pour out His blessings and favor on you, and every dream and desire of your heart shall be yours, this shall come to pass in your life.
