The Eight Beatitudes Of Jesus

"Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

Blessed are they who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.

Blessed are the meek,
for they shall inherit the earth.

Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they shall be satisfied.

Blessed are the merciful,
for they shall obtain mercy.

Blessed are the pure of heart,
for they shall see God.

Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they shall be called children of God.

Blessed are they who are persecuted for the sake of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

Jesus's message was one of humility, charity, and brotherly love. He taught transformation of the inner person. Jesus presents the Beatitudes in a positive sense, virtues in life which will ultimately lead to reward. Love becomes the motivation for the Christian. All of the Beatitudes have an eschatological meaning, that is, they promise us salvation; not in this world, but in the next. The Beatitudes initiate one of the main themes of Matthew's Gospel, that the Kingdom so long awaited in the Old Testament is not of this world, but of the next, the Kingdom of Heaven.

One of the first contemplations on the Beatitudes came from St. Gregory of Nyssa, a mystic who lived in Cappadocia in Asia Minor around 380 AD. He described the Beatitudes this way:
"Beatitude is a possession of all things held to be good,

from which nothing is absent that a good desire may want.
Perhaps the meaning of beatitude may become clearer to us
if it is compared with its opposite.
Now the opposite of beatitude is misery.
Misery means being afflicted unwillingly with painful sufferings."

St. Augustine called the Beatitudes the ideal for every Christian life!

Daily Word

"Upon the land of my people shall come up thorns and briers; yea, upon all the houses of joy in the joyous city: Because the palaces shall be forsaken; the multitude of the city shall be left until the spirit be poured upon us from on high, and the wilderness be a fruitful field."

(Isaiah 32:13-15).

Paul's Teaching

Hi My friends,

Please consider Paul's teaching regarding love:

"1: Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. 2: And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing. 3: And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing. 4: Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up, 5: Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil; 6: Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth; 7: Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things."

1 Corinthians 13:1-7

Paul's text is a graphic presentation of the characteristics of biblical love. He began by showing the utter futility of the absence of love. Regardless of the extent of the accomplishment or sacrifice, without love it is a wasted effort. When love is present, there is long suffering, kindness, rejoicing in the truth, bearing all things, believing, hoping, and enduring all things will then be seen. To the converse, there is no envy, egotism, improper conduct, selfishness, irritability, and thinking of evil.

Jamaica, A Blessed Nation - Usain Bolt's Victory!! Our Jamaican Team!!

Psalm 144:15 How blessed are the people who are so situated; How blessed are the people whose God is the LORD!

Spectacular Victory!!!! Usain made Jamaica and his fans worldwide extremely proud!! A magnificent performance Usain.

In Berlin's Olympic Stadium the crowd roared at the spectacle they had just witnessed. Beijing was special, three Olympic gold medals and three world records, but to again break the world record in the sport's most feted distance, this was something truly spectacular. Asafa Powell finished in third place, he did extremely well too.

As Bolt said, "I can definitely say it's the best feeling ever." Certainly, after what we had just seen, we felt the same way too!

Congratulations to our Jamaican TEAM!!!

Daily Word For Today

“Now glory be to God, who by His mighty power at work within us is able to do far more than we would ever dare to ask or even dream of—infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, or hopes.” (Ephesians 3:20)

The first thing God does to build your faith is He gives you a dream. When God wants to work in your life, He’ll always give you a dream—about yourself, about what He wants you to do, about how He’s going to use your life to impact the world.

God loves you. Please, please have faith in Him, believe in Him and watch Him work in your life in an Awesome way, you will see His mighty miracles!

Love,
Natalie

Mahatma Gandhi On Prayer

Prayer is not asking. It is a longing of the soul. It is daily admission of one's weakness. It is better in prayer to have a heart without words than words without a heart.

The Power of Clairvoyance and Clairsentience

Beautiful sunset in Kingston, Jamaica!! I had to capture this on camera to share with you, the beauty of our universe!

I had mentioned in a previous post, of my ability to read the fingernails of people, that was just a little of me! Now I will share with you my gifts of clairvoyance, clairsentience and clairaudient. I will explain what these are.

Clairvoyance: The ability to see clearly into the future by reading the aura of a person.

Clairsentience: This is a clear feeling, the inner sense of knowing. This has enabled me to 'feel' the energy of others.

Clairaudience: This is clear hearing, I have the ability to perceive sounds, words or music from the spiritual realm.

The word itself has French origins from the 19th century; clair means clear, voir means to see. To see clearly. Clairvoyance for me is a very human capacity like our other senses, and in some people it is especially pronounced. When this capacity is naturally present and becomes developed, a person is often considered to have a gift for intuitive sight beyond the surface of situations and personalities. What is very important is we must recognize this is a spiritual gift, and when it is used ethically it is indeed a spiritual path of helping others who are in distress and may need clarity in their circumstances. Of note there is good and evil in this world and some unfortunately use their gifts for evil. However, I will not go into that at all.

A person who has the gift of second sight, or clairvoyance, did nothing to gain it or achieve it. It is a gift, just as a musical talent or artistic talent is a gift the artist is born with - given by God to the person, and always, as with all gifts, meant to be used for the good of the community, and of the world.
You may find the word clairvoyance more in use today by many with this gift than a term many people consider interchangeable, and that is psychic. The reason for the preference for clairvoyance is to establish a more positive meaning to the word, and for many, to distance themselves and their gifts from psychics who are occult practitioners.
This is a natural gift in which I see pictures in my mind’s eye, or my 'third eye,' another name for that sixth sense or second sight.
And the pictures are read as energy that tells me about the person I am reading or even in the presence of. Your aura tells so much about you.

I can at best, read the present clearly, and give some counsel on next steps best suited to that person’s energy to enable to them to make their own decisions about their dreams and desired changes. I have helped many of my friends and family when they were unsure of where to go and what direction and action to take.

Clairvoyance is a spiritual gift, and when used ethically and wisely, is a spiritual pathway to benefit all.

I believe that there are many options in life and that each path taken has cause and effect and leads to more. Life is opportunity! What is in front of you? How can you advance your decision making and acquire the confirmation you need to achieve understanding of your heart connections, family and friends.

I grew up understanding that intuition and connection to spirit was a normal part of life. Especially from my paternal grandmother, God rest her soul. She was my mentor in spirituality and always told me I was born on a" special day", and that I would do great things. She too was clairvoyant and deeply spiritual, soI grew up in an environment that was sensitive to energies, meaning that I learnt to read them and understand the signposts that helped me and my family everyday. I recount the days of seeing spirits and hearing them. Culturally in Jamaica it was the norm to be told "Duppy stories" at night by our elders, which often left us as children very scared to go to sleep at night. All in a good way, and I have warm childhood memories of this. I certainly appreciated then, being from a large family, so as brothers and sisters we would huddle together or pretend to be the 'duppies' long after our parents had gone to bed!

In a nutshell my friends, I can help you on which is the best direction to take, what path to follow in your personal, love, relationship and family life. This is always a great and interesting experience as we discover things about ourselves we never knew before!!

I will tell you more in future posts.

Love,
Natalie

Strive to Be Happy-A Little Insight

Do not worry; eat three square meals a day; say your prayers; be courteous to your
creditors; keep your digestion good; exercise; go slow and easy. Maybe there are other things your special case requires to make you happy, but my friend, these I reckon will give you a good lift.

Beauty and Peace Exists Where We Least Expect It

We can complain because rose bushes have thorns, or rejoice because thorn bushes have roses.

Abraham Lincoln

My Thoughts for Today

We can choose to see the good in others, or we can choose to see the faults in others. If we choose the former this will impact our lives in such a positive way as we will also see the good in ourselves. 'Treat others as you would want them to be, and not as they are.'

Or we could choose the latter; of seeing the faults in others and dwelling on them, but we too will become those 'faults, 'so why take on all that negative energy on ourselves? 'NO WAY, YOU WILL REAP WHAT YOU SOW.'

On the other hand, sometimes I hear from those of you who are doing everything but not receiving any results. If that sounds like you, here I am offering some gentle suggestions:

1. Stop trying. This isn’t about trying, doing, wishing or hoping. It’s about BEING, TRUSTING, BELIEVING. Sometimes it is difficult to BE when you are caught up in wanting.

2. Take some time off. Give yourself a break. Decide that for the next week, or month, or three months you are going to take your attention off of what it may be that is bothering you completely, and focus on having as much fun as possible. I recently decided to take off the entire summer from worrying. I even wrote a vow for myself:

This summer I will take time everyday to really enjoy the season. I will consciously take more time to appreciate the sun, the beautiful trees, flowers and plants which I truly love, the warm breezes, the freshest produce, the beach!!! Everything and remember to wear your sunscreen, please!!!! Most importantly, I am giving up WORRYING. My heart is open, loving, carefree and I am SMILING AND LAUGHING, A LOT :-)

3. Stop judging yourself, stop being hard on yourself, and the process and give yourself the love and attention you truly deserve.

4. Surrender to Divine Timing.

5. Spend some time meditating, in silence, or observing nature or ideally all three. Think about this-like sitting by the beach and listening to the waves splashing on the shore or whatever pleases you.

6. Create a summer project. Choose one person in your life that could benefit from your attention and shower them with all your love, appreciation and gratitude. LOVE THEM!!!!

Remember to breathe and nourish your soul this summer. Often the key to manifesting all that you desire is to completely surrender and trust in God and know that all is already yours. THIS IS VERY TRUE!!

Today is Emancipation Day, Jamaica Land We Love

“But my hand was made strong by the hand of the Almighty,

Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery. None but ourselves can free our minds. Won't you help to sing the songs of freedom?”
